Hey! I’m Alia Poonawala and I’m delighted you are here.
Do you ever watch a kissing scene in a movie and think “Umm yeah, they had NO chemistry” or find yourself getting twisted in knots because it’s so delicious, you feel like you’re almost in it yourself? (Meryl & Stanley still have my vote for Julie & Julia, by the way.)
I love dissecting and analyzing communication. How do you communicate? And what are your greatest strengths? Do you effectively harness your special sauce, or do you blend in trying to become some conglomerate of what you’ve learned you should be?
Have you ever noticed how ONE idea can be conveyed in 2 different ways, each with drastically different results ? How can we motivate, guide, lead, and inspire with the most effective words and body language?
This is the kind of stuff I hunger for! Especially when it comes to our relationships. And sweet Cupid! I’m not just talking about love. I’m talking about our relationships with our bosses, our bodies, the world.
I’ve lived all over and studied people globally. I’ve worked in restaurants, retail, academia, the corporate world, medical centers, etc. You name it, I’ve probably tried it. I’m 50% scientist, 50% artist, love acting like my life is a wondrous movie, and spend most of my money on food and books. So, welcome! Grab a cup of tea and let’s talk.
